We are rapidly approaching free agency and the NFL draft, which for the Super Bowl Champion Eagles, is going to be very interesting. I have seen a lot of mock drafts already this year based on what the Eagles “need” going into the 18-19 season. This article, however, is aimed more at which positions I am least/most concerned about going into next year. This doesn’t mean that because I have a certain position as the #1 concern that I think the Birds are going to use their 1st round pick on that position. I would just expect A LOT of focus in free agency, draft, trades, etc. to be geared towards that position. So let’s get started with the position I think is of least concern for the Eagles, #12-Defensive End. Continue reading “Ranking the Eagle’s Roster Concerns for 2018”
Wow guys! What a whirlwind the last few weeks have been! The Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl Champions for the first time! But as February marches on, we get deeper and deeper into the 2018 Offseason. There are a lot things to look forward to: free agency, the NFL draft, OTAs, etc. I am going to pump the brakes just a little bit. Here are a few of my thoughts before we really get into the offseason and head towards the 2018 season. Continue reading “My Thoughts Heading into the Offseason”
So by now I think we all know what is going on with Dallas Cowboy’s star running back, Ezekiel Elliott. The NFL wants to suspend Zeke for six games for allegedly assaulting his then girlfriend and Zeke, with the help of his legal team, wants to avoid the suspension. I am not really sure how it will play out, although the fact that his legal team is now trying to settle with the NFL makes me think that they don’t think they can win in court. That will play out later this week. This article, however, is meant to address public sentiment about the case, precedent based on previous spousal assault issues in the NFL, Zeke’s history of “conduct detrimental” and just how the Elliott suspension could affect the Cowboys match-ups with the Eagles.
Your Philadelphia Eagles are 7-1. Let me say that again. YOUR Philadelphia Eagles are now 7-1 after winning their fifth game in a row on Sunday against the 49ers. Carson Wentz showed out on prime time…again! The defense is playing out of its mind and the entire team is clicking.
The Eagles look very good right now and I don’t see that letting up any time soon. Here are the four main reasons I believe the Eagles currently have the best record in the NFL and will continue their winning ways going forward.
After the slate of Week 7 NFL games and that epic performance from the wizard himself, Carson Wentz, I wanted to dive into some of the numbers that I look at when trying to analyze a quarterback’s performance. But I didn’t necessarily want to dive into Carson against the entire NFL as of yet, although by the MVP hype he is getting so far this season it would be a fun exercise (and I will get to it later in the season). Instead, I will look at the two quarterback that Carson will be compared with throughout his entire career. That would the #1 overall pick in the 2016 draft, Jared Goff and what will surely be his archenemy in the NFC East until the day he retires, Dak Prescott.
The first post! I could not be more pumped to be writing this for your reading pleasure. I wanted to take a few minutes to address something that has been bothering me for a couple of weeks now. This Eagles run game has yet to get any credit and even after 407 combined yards the past two weeks, they still aren’t. Continue reading “The Eagles RBs Are Terrib…Nevermind.”
